Thankful Monday

"I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever." (Ps. 86:12). Sometimes the wonder of who God is will rise up in us while we work, and we will whisper his praise: "Bless the Lord, O My soul! O Lord my God, you are very great!" (Ps. 104:1). When you add to this the awareness that you depend on God for every future minute of life and for all the help you need, your thankfulness flows over into faith for each upcoming moment and for the remainder of the day and week and month and year and decade. This is faith in future grace.

-John Piper, "Don't waste your Life"

I'm excited about posting things I'm thankful for this week....although I'm realizing that many things I'm thankful for aren't "things" to be photographed or are a little boring (i'm sure you don't want to see pictures of my dishwasher.) Nevertheless, here's a few things from around the house....

Family Time (watching Bible "tory time" on the computer)

Kids in bed = Downtime with Dave! I've heard there are moms out there who gets lots done after bedtime...but not around here. I love settling in with Dave every evening, no to-do's or clean-up or computer time....just me and my man.
Our home and yard....love all those trees in each season....

Abundance. We've never struggled to put food on the table, but I'm so aware of that real struggle many people face every day (and even within my neighborhood). We don't deserve it....
